Clemens Krauss is an artist born in 1978, Australia. Studied Fine arts in London ( Saint martins ) and Berlin. He is mostly known for his strong structural figurative paintings and installations.
Krauss constantly focuses on - how and where his paintings are positioned and how they relate to social, political and biographical questions. The white background in these paintings makes it clear that he wants the viewer to notice the characters / how they are positioned and what they are doing.
The huge colour amount used on these painting makes them so realistic and three - dimensional that it becomes an object rather than a painting. The drying process of the paintings is much more longer than usual, because the thick layer of oil colour drys really slowly / even several months.
